Today, on the 26th of August, 2023, I experienced a day filled with extraordinary significance and bustling activity. This day marked the occasion of my brother's wedding, my grandmother's anniversary, and a cherried delight, the ordination of Rev. Fr. John Richard S. as a Jesuit Priest. This remarkable event took place at the esteemed St. Joseph's College in Trichy, a place renowned for its connection to great minds, including Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.

My journey with Rev. Fr. John Richard S. began when I was introduced to him by Rev. Fr. George Raja from Madurai. The backdrop was set during a three-day stay at Pune in 2017, when I was attending an Army Interview. The memories of those days at De Nobili College are etched in my mind, as Rev. Fr. John Richard graciously hosted and cared for me, ensuring that I was well-fed and comfortable throughout my stay.

Our paths crossed once again during his brief stint at Loyola College in Chennai. It was during this time that I had the pleasure of sharing a meal of Sunday chicken biryani, residing at Berchmans Illam, and engaging in spirited basketball matches at Loyola College. Subsequently, I had the honor of meeting him alongside Rev. Fr. George and Rev. Fr. Leo at Arul Kadal. Rev. Fr. John Richard's support extended to my friends who ventured to Delhi for UPSC preparations, offering them invaluable assistance during their initial days.

In the moments we spent together, whether on the basketball court of Loyola College or the campus of Loyola ICAM College, Rev. Fr. John Richard's warmth and care shone through. With this humble blog post, I wish to express my deep gratitude for his kindness and unwavering support. As he embarks on his journey as a shepherd, guiding and leading his flock, I extend my heartfelt wishes for his ordination day. May his service continue to touch lives, just as it has touched mine.
